Dalnoid Holiday Cottages
   Non-Serviced Accommodation: Self Catering Dalnoid Holiday Cottages are located in a prime location, with stunning views over the Shee Water, Mount Blair and towards Glenshee, and ideally placed for touring the surrounding area including Royal Deeside, Pitlochry, Dunkeld, the Angus Glens and Blairgowrie. We have 3 cottages: Old & New Steading Cottages are both rated 4* by VisitScotland and both sleeping 4 people, all on a single level. Smiddy Cottage sleeps 3 people. Dalnoid is set in 6 acres of grounds and there are numerous walks, Munros and Corbetts, as well as the Cateran Trail on our doorstep. New Steading Cottage: Comprises of a spacious king size double room with ensuite shower-room, twin room, family bathroom and a large living area with modern kitchen, lounge and dining area with a wood burning stove. The cottage is tastefully decorated throughout to a high standard and has a host of modern facilities including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, Sky Freeview, DVD and CD player. From the lounge you can step out through the patio doors onto a large raised deck and enjoy breakfast as the sun rises over Mount Blair or an evening drink or two taking in the stunning scenery. The cottage has its own enclosed garden, with access to over 6 acres of grounds. Old Steading Cottage: Converted from an old cattle byre, Old Steading Cottage with its 2ft thick stone walls and combed ceilings has been fully renovated during 2007, yet still keeps its traditional features and charm. As well as some exposed stone walls, the cottage has traditional slate floors, kept warm by the underfloor heating system. The cottage comprises of a spacious king size double room with ensuite shower-room, twin room, family bathroom and a large living area with modern kitchen, lounge and dining area with wood burning stoves. The cottage is tastefully decorated throughout to a high standard and has a host of modern facilities including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, Sky Freeview, DVD and CD player. The cottage has its own enclosed garden, with access to over 6 acres of grounds. Both New and Old Steading Cottages are heated by renewable energy - Ground Source Heat Pumps - providing all year round underfloor heating and hot water, as well as a wood burning stove for those colder or more romantic evenings. All fuel is included in your holiday cost. Smiddy Cottage: Converted from an old smithy, Smiddy Cottage with its 2ft thick stone walls and exposed beams has been recently renovated, yet still keeps its traditional features and charm. As well as some exposed stone walls, the cottage has a woodburing stove. The cottage comprises of a spacious double room, a large single room, family bathroom and a living area with modern kitchen, lounge and dining area with wood burning stove. The cottage is tastefully decorated throughout to a high standard and has a host of modern facilities including dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, Wifi, Sky Freeview, DVD and CD player. The cottage has a private garden overlooking our large pond and enjoys stunning views looking across the Glen to Mount Blair and Drumore. Dalnoid Holiday Cottages are committed to providing a high quality, enjoyable and sustainable holiday for our guests. Prices for either Old or New Steading Cottages, per week for 2010 are: Jan, Feb, Nov, Dec £315; Mar £330; Apr, Oct £360; May £400; Jun, Sep £440; Jul £400; Aug £550; Christmas and New Year £550 per week. Prices for Smiddy Cottage, per week for 2010 are: Aug £480, Sep £390, Oct £320,Nov £285, Dec (excl.Christmas & New Year)£285, Christmas £480, New Year £480.
