The house lies just a few hundred yards from the very popular Cateran Trail, one of the best signed - if not the best signed - long-distance walking routes in Scotland, covering beautiful hill and glen scenery in Perthshire and Angus. The accompanying photographs show the house within the setting of the spectacular surrounding scenery of Glenshee and the Grampian Mountains. Within the immediate local area there are opportunities for almost every possible outdoor activity. Mountain climbing, hillwalking, golf, fishing, stalking and skiing are all available. And for those who prefer less strenuous activities, there is a wealth of scenery to explore, and famous castles including Balmoral, Glamis, Scone Palace and Blair Castle which are all nearby. Glenshee lies on the route northwards from Perth and Blairgowrie to Royal Deeside, Balmoral and Aberdeen. Glenshee is an ideal base from which to see this wonderful part of the Southern Highlands.
